Acknowledging and eliminating food deserts throughout the state is an important part of social justice. We also believe in voter education before voter registration. So we decided to overcome both obstacles at once. We take donations from local businesses and use them to fight hunger. We fire up a big grill with motivating music in the background and make sure folks are registered and properly educated on everything involved in voting, from where to vote to when to vote - all before receiving a wristband to eat. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
Every week, we mobilize our teams of members & volunteers to make a real difference. We canvass in the disenfranchised & disengaged communities to show the people someone care about their concerns and willing to commit to finding solutions. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change. The purpose is to bridge the gap between "the streets and
the suites," listen to residents from that community while touring it with representatives and grassroot
organizations who serve that community. Join us in connecting with the community in new ways!
We host listening sessions to listen to the Black electorate who have disengaged
from the political arena because of the marginalization and disregard they have faced from past and present political leadership. We already have put in place a firm and vibrant infrastructure. At the end of the sessions. we have a sign up sheet for those who are not employed and try to offer as many jobs as we can through contracts with C&J consulting. Help us by sponsoring a venue to use or mobilizing folks in your area who are in need of the services that Vision Walkers offer.
